Coming Soon! Travel Module Transformation: Webroster.net Version 4.1.0 and Bee Version 3.6.0
Coming Soon! Travel Module Transformation
We have been working hard since the last upgrade to Webroster.net and Bee, and we are excited to announce that Webroster.net version 4.1.0 and Bee version 3.6.0 will be coming soon!
We are continuing to fine-tune the software so we don’t have an exact date for the release yet, but we want to give you a sneak peak into what we have been working on and what to look forward to!
This release will completely transform our Travel module, and Bee version 3.6.0 will support these changes. This new functionality includes:
- additional transport modes (Car, Cycling, Walking) with more accurate travel times
- travel times on the roster updating automatically and dynamically
- checks for insufficient travel time when creating and editing bookings
- changes to page layout and usability to make generating travel expenses easier on the user
The update will also include some great new functionality for our Mapping module. With version 4.1.0 of Webroster.net we will use street names and house numbers as well as postcode when locating an address, improving the overall accuracy of travel times and mileage calculations.
If this sounds like a huge change – it is! But rest assured – apart from the cosmetic changes, your current setup and functionality will continue as normal after the upgrade: you chose when you’re ready to enable the enhanced Travel module functionality.
This update will require some downtime of Webroster.net and its services. Full information on the dates, times and duration will be available closer to release.
