The Access Group continues expansion of Health & Social Care Division with acquisition of Webroster

Webroster - An Access company

The Access Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of software, has today announced the acquisition of Webroster, a provider of software for the care industry.  Access is one of the UK’s fastest growing software companies with a customer-centric culture and a strong track record of providing an extensive software portfolio through its Access Workspace platform.  The combination of Access and Webroster will cement Access as the clear leader in the UK’s Health & Social Care software market.

Webroster was founded in 2002, with a focus on building workforce management systems that supported the delivery of quality care.  Nigel Gittins founded Webroster, based on the experiences of how complex care planning can be, gained from his parents’ homecare agency.  Over the last 18 years, Webroster has grown and is now in use by more than 330 customers across the UK.

Steve Sawyer, Managing Director for Health and Social Care, Access Group commented: “The Access Health and Social Care division continues to go from strength to strength, with our Access Workspace based Health & Social Care solutions used by over 8,000 registered providers, branches and homes in residential and domiciliary care. We’re committed to delivering leading edge technology for care providers, from rostering and electronic care planning, through to compliance and medication management, apps for care workers and family and call monitoring. Now, with the acquisition of Webroster we welcome even more organisations into the Access Health and Social Care division, deepening our expertise and expanding our ability to offer providers the freedom to deliver outstanding care”
