Webroster.net saves time for residential care home with streamlined payroll process
Wymondley Nursing and Residential Care Home is located in the North Hertfordshire village of Little Wymondley, providing nursing and residential care for up to fifty nine residents. Family owned and run, great pride is taken in offering high standards of care to residents, with several family members involved in the day to day running of the home. Much of the success of Wymondley is attributed to the commitment of the over one hundred staff members, many of whom have been employed since the home was opened in 1990.
Initially searching for a payroll solution, Director Tom Kelsall saw that Webroster.net had the potential to meet his needs. The main issue was that two staff members were previously spending up to a week per month preparing the payroll. Wymondley has many long serving members of staff and the management team was keen to ensure that whilst processes were more streamlined behind the scenes, nothing would change for staff in terms of how their pay slip and roster information was presented to them. When used in a care home environment Webroster.net can be used to roster staff shifts, generate time sheets and process payroll. Resident’s care can scheduled and viewed in the system giving managers an overview of all information and documentation securely within the online application.
Working closely with the Webroster account management team, an export file from Webroster.net has been developed that feeds directly into the payroll system. This means that staff pay slips retain their original format but the process of creating them is much more efficient.

In addition to the new payroll process a bespoke report was developed to produce a print out of the staff roster to mirror the format it had always been presented in. For staff this means that they see their roster in the same way, but for back office staff it has transformed the process of producing the roster.
