Implementation and pricing
How much does it cost?
Each Webroster.net package is different and depends on the requirements of each business, so we are unable to give costs without knowing more about what you want to achieve. Please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.
Is this payable monthly or as a one off cost?
Webroster.net ongoing software services incur an annual fee which can be split into manageable monthly payments. Training and consultancy fees are one off costs.
Are technical support and system upgrades included?
Yes, all system upgrades and full technical support are included at no extra cost. Please click here for more information about our support service.
Do we have to have training?
Webroster.net is a very flexible system which has been designed to benefit a wide range of different companies. Therefore, it is imperative that users understand how the system works in order for them to get the most out of it. We recommend that new customers have a minimum of one consultancy day and three training days to get them up and running.
What’s the difference between consultancy and training?
Consultancy is where we assess your current ways of working to create an action plan for your training sessions and determine how you should set up your database.
Training is where we work with your system users to ensure they understand how the system works and how they should use it.
How long does it take to implement Webroster.net?
Implementation timescales vary from company to company. It depends on the size of the system you are setting up and on the availability of your resources to do this. Typical implementations can take between six and 12 weeks.
Is Webroster.net hosted or self hosted?
It can be either! The most popular choice is our hosted service but we also offer a self hosted option. Click here for more information about our hosting services.
What size of business is suitable to use Webroster.net?
Webroster.net is used by small businesses managing a team of only a few people, and large nationwide organisations managing multiple teams at different offices. The system is flexible enough to be used by any size of company.
Functionality
Does Webroster.net interface with other systems?
Webroster.net currently interfaces with electronic monitoring systems, CM2000 and EziTracker. It can be used in conjunction with Sage or Iris financial packages and Swift case management system. If you would like Webroster.net to interface with another system, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
What reports are available and can these be tailored?
A range of standard reports are available from Webroster.net and flexible reporting can be done using the Verified Timesheet (VTS) Extract. A range of bespoke reports can be purchased from our online Reports Browser and we can also create a unique report for you should you require.
Can Webroster.net handle multiple teams of staff and multiple branches/offices?
Yes, there are various different ways of setting this up within your database and your consultant will advise you of the best way for your business.
Our staff work set shifts as opposed to individual bookings, can Webroster.net handle this?
Yes, shifts can created within the system set up.
Can staff choose which bookings they go to?
Yes, the booking enquiries functionality sends staff an enquiry which they can reply to if they want to accept the job.
Can Webroster.net, VOIPTrac and PhotoTrac handle overnight bookings?
Yes, these are treated as any other booking.
Can Webroster.net use agency staff to cover bookings?
Our Vendor Management System (VMS) module is used to roster and manage third party suppliers.
Which Electronic Monitoring systems can be used with Webroster.net?
Webroster.net’s own electronic monitoring systems are VOIPTrac™ and PhotoTrac™. Webroster.net can also be used in conjunction with external monitoring systems; CM2000 and EziTracker.
How many staff and clients can Webroster.net hold?
Webroster.net can manage an unlimited number of staff and clients.
What happens if we lose our internet connection?
As a web based programme, Webroster.net can be used anywhere with an internet connection. Should you loose your connection, any changes made and saved before the loss will not be affected but changes made after the loss on connection will not be saved.
How often do you release updates?
Updates to our software are released on average every 3-4 months. Any minor changes or bug fixes may be done more regularly.
When are updates uploaded?
Updates are always done on a Sunday evening as this is the time when the fewer number of users are logged into Webroster.net, thus causing the least possible disruption.
Security
How secure is our data?
Webroster.net has multiple security measures in place to prevent any loss or corruption of your data including; mirrored systems and disaster recovery, separate data centres for co-located hosting, offline storage and automatic backups.
What happens if the Webroster Group goes bust?
Webroster Group, the company behind Webroster.net, has been trading since 2002 and audited accounts are available upon request. However, if you wish to protect the source code of your application, we are happy to supply you with an Escrow agreement.
Can we get a backup of our data?
Yes, Webroster.net’s hosted service includes daily backups which you can obtain a copy of at any time.
